Defeat Prime Baseball North in a Nail Biter
SYR Trash Pandas 15U were victorious against Prime Baseball North - Cassidy 15U 8-7 on Sunday to win the Salt City Sports Baseball Fort Ontario Standoff 15U.
Prime Baseball North - Cassidy 15U got on the board in the top of the first inning after SYR Trash Pandas 15U dropped a third strike, and Prime Baseball North - Cassidy 15U scored on a wild pitch.
SYR Trash Pandas 15U captured the lead, 3-2, in the bottom of the second after Brenner Kalfass doubled down the right field line, Ben Kaulback singled down the left field line, and Hunter Joseph singled down the right field line, each scoring one run.
A home run to center field by Ben gave Prime Baseball North - Cassidy 15U the lead, 5-3, in the top of the third.
SYR Trash Pandas 15U captured the lead, 6-5, in the bottom of the third when Eddie Hayden singled, scoring two runs, and an error scored one run.
Zach Boop singled down the right field line, which helped Prime Baseball North - Cassidy 15U tie the game at six in the top of the fourth.
SYR Trash Pandas 15U captured the lead, 8-6, in the bottom of the sixth after Hayden singled to center field, and Kalfass hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.
Kalfass earned the win for SYR Trash Pandas 15U. The reliever allowed three hits and one run over four innings, striking out five and walking none.
Hayden provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led SYR Trash Pandas 15U with three runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 2-for-2 in the game. Eddie Kuzawski set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading SYR Trash Pandas 15U with three hits in three at bats.
